Debby on 05 Feb 2021 :
My Aunt was told to get over to the commode herself and the staff walked out of the room my aunt has been in the hospital almost 3 weeks half that in ICU and she has used a Walker to walk for years. She kept telling the staff member she was afraid of falling the staff member told her we do not say we are afraid here and walked out of the room. My aunt has used a Walker for years and did not have a Walker to use there. So she sat in her chair and urinated on herself all day and was soaked clear down thru her chair as she was afraid of being left alone again and falling. If you are afraid better to tell the staff you are afraid and not able to do something than fall and break a hip. She has been there 3.5 days and did not get a supper tray twice. I think staff needs better observation and patients need better care. Hope it improves rapidly. She should not have been left for hours to pee on herself she is getting very strong water pills so someone should realize she would need to go to bathroom but apparently they could not figure that out. AWFUL AND VERY UNACCEPTABLE.
