Pastor Kimberlie Currier on 07 Jul 2022 :
My 81 year old dad left the hospital after a heart attack and was sent to The Center at Grande. The facility is nice but he didn't get to enjoy it because he was confined to his room, alone, except for visiting hours when we could go in and see him. They almost let him die. He called me and said that he couldn't breathe. He said he rolled himself down to the nurses station and they told him that he was just having a panic attack, to calm down and go back to bed. They even admitted this to me when I arrived on the scene, despite knowing his history of congestive heart failure. Luckily I was at Walmart 5 minutes away instead of at my hotel. I rushed over and when I got there his oxygen level was 67. I told them to call 911 or I was going to. By the time the paramedics arrived, his oxygen level had fallen to 64. They rushed him to the ER. Not only were they keeping him confined and alone in his room, (and worried about my mother who was also in the hospital and who ended up dying), but they did not treat his depression. He got bed sores so deep that when we got him home he has to go to wound care at the local hospital and have them debrided every week for weeks before they healed. His legs and feet were so swollen from fluid retention from the heart disease that they were weeping puddles on the floor and they refused to keep him dry or in dry clothing. They forgot to take him to his cardiologist appointment and I had to reschedule the appointment and take him myself. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! We tried The Heights of Tyler when he got out and had just as bad experiences there. We brought him home and cared for him here and he healed.
