I should have read the reviews before sending my father here. He would still be alive if I had. He was sent there to receive rehab for cellulitis in his leg. 5 days before he passed away, he was coughing up blood. Not just a small amount of blood, but a lot. We asked the nurse about it, and she said it was from thrush. The next day when we went to visit him, we asked if the bleeding had stopped, and we were told that she did not get in report that he was coughing up blood. That means that she had not laid eyes on him because he had an emesis basin and wash rags on his bed that were covered. We asked the nurses to get him a consult for GI, Pulmonary, ENT, and cardiology. We were told that he would have to do that outpatient instead of seeing that he needed to be sent back to the hospital. He was in a lot of pain, and they made him feel like he was lazy because he was so weak, he could not do the physical therapy. He was not able to eat. He was barely able to drink. They did not send him back to the hospital until it was too late. He died less than 24 hours later.
